Troubleshooting

Start with the console message, then check the smallest thing that can explain it.

A setting did not change

1. Check the console for YAML errors (tabs, bad indentation, unquoted : or #).
2. Confirm you edited the right file in plugins/RankedSMPX/.
3. Run /rsmp reload.
4. Restart for database.type and for enabling the Discord bot.
5. Some plugins cache placeholders or tab values. Reload them too.

The plugin does not load

• Java must be 21+ and the server Paper 1.21.1+ (or Folia).
• The first start downloads libraries from Maven Central. Check the server can reach it.

A player has the wrong hearts

Run /rsmp fix <player>. If another plugin also changes max health, set health.mode to DIRECT or AGGRESSIVE in config.yml.

Tab prefix missing

Check tab-integration.enabled, run /rsmp reload, and rejoin. With TAB installed, also check TAB's group and sorting settings. See Tab list.

/inv says no access

The player's rank needs slots above 0 in ranks.yml. Also check inventory.enabled and inventory.combat.disabled-during-combat.

Admin command says player not found

Offline players work by name or UUID. Bedrock players need the Floodgate prefix. See Choosing a player.
