Upgrading

What happens to your files when you update.

Before you update

Back up plugins/RankedSMPX/. Run /rankexport for a JSON copy of the ranks.

New options are added to config.yml, messages.yml and discord.yml. Your values and comments are kept.
A copy of the old file is saved in backups/ before a layout migration.
Rank values from older versions that lived in config.yml are imported into ranks.yml if it does not exist. An existing ranks.yml is never replaced.
A missing message falls back to the built-in text.

Do not edit config-version.

Use /rsmp migrate. See Migrating from RankedSMP.
